DREW NOYES NOW CLAIMS 17 YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE KING OF THAILAND

$

Drew Walter Noyes, Pattaya’s infamous American, who claimed to be a lawyer, stepping up his attempts to whitewash his past and is now claiming 17 years in Thailand in service of the King.

He makes this claim on his Facebook site ‘BestPattayaLawyers’ which of course needless to say does not represent the best Pattaya Lawyers.

And indeed if anyone could produce a list of the best Pattaya lawyers and rate them by competence and honesty we would all be grateful.

Despite the fact that #DrewNoyes has managed to recruit an Army Colonel to speak up on his behalf in court – presumably to show that Noyes is fully behind the military government and vice versa,

I am not sure that the Palace would approve of Drew Noyes’ loyal actions over the last few years – that is since he announced in his now defunct Pattaya Times that he had been invited to Thailand by Royal Proclamation.

Here are few of them. I have just listed 17 to commemorate his anniversary, and which no doubt he has listed to count towards his next Royal Decoration. I am sure readers can remember many more.

No. 1– This has to be of course his conviction last year and sentencing to two years in jail for extortion while claiming that he was FBI cleared.  Noyes told Michel Goulet the co-owner of the Thonglor Clinic, Jomtien that he was the big boss in town he, that he needed to go through Noyes Inc. if he wanted to do business in his town. And demanded 7 million baht to stop a raid by the CSD* on his premises when illegal medical substances would be found.

No.2– (My favourite) This must be his purchase of the web-domain ‘Offical.blowjobs.info’. I have no idea why he bought this domain name along with others like ‘MeetThaiUniversityGirls’ (in his wife’s name) but his antics in court when he accused the owner of this site of alleging that his wife gave oral sex to foreigners in Pattaya have just got to be given the Hollywood treatment when I write the book. (No such accusation was made).

No.3 – Ripping off an school friend from Jefferson High School, now a weapons instructor to the US military, to the tune of US$250,000. This is what his friend gave him for two condos owned by the Thai National Housing Authority (presumably for less well-off Thais) and a share in a nightclub business.  The nightclub business never took off and ‘Cupid’s’ has now become the Athena Club in Jomtien – and has still failed to open. This case was settled out of court and Noyes was forced to make an undisclosed payment.  Two other people he tried to foist NHA condos onto cottoned on and he was forced to repay or face arrest. The friend later confided that Noyes was the school snitch.

No.4. Ripping off Dutchman Theo van der schaaf by pocketing the 2.5 million baht der schaaf had given him to settle on his girlfriend in a dispute over ownership of the house they lived in together.

This was again settled out of court and Noyes had to make an undisclosed payment.

Noyes had promised 'disputes settled with tact' - the ex-girlfriend called police on Noyes' team.

No.5. Announcing to the world in the Pattaya Times that the Crime Suppression Bureau was hunting down British journalist Andrew Drummond for telling lies about respectable businessmen in Thailand. It never happened of course – and now the CSD as we once knew it is no more – closed due to rampant corruption. But not before Noyes set up a site 'AskCSD' later changed to AskThailandPolice in which punters were invited to report crime to the CSD through his site!

No.6. Announcing in the Pattaya Times that the government was going to seize all property owned by foreigners in dormant company names.

But he had the answer to all their problems. Pensioner Joe McCluskey went to him for help and he was offered 200,000 baht for his 2 million baht property.

Needless to say McCluskey never sold even though Noyes told the 77-year-old he could stay in the house until, well, he, er couldn't.

No.7. Announcing that an exposé of his activities in the Morning Star in North Carolina was an April Fool’s Day joke and that he had sued and won.

In fact the report which was indeed published on April 1st 1995 which accused him of share and property fraud and sexual harassment in his office demanding oral sex from a member of staff on pain of cutting her hours, was indeed a serious report.

And he never sued. Nor was the reporter Scott Gold fired.  Scott Gold is now with the LA Times.

No.8 Having another judgment ruled against him in San Jose Court, California. The court ordered Noyes to pay US$72,000. Noyes had cheated a Tom Flanagan by selling him useless shares in his New England Trading company.

The court heard that Drew Noyes posed as a medical doctor to sell him the shares. The initial judgment of US$25,000 was raised to US$72,000 in 2012.

No.9 Announcing that together with the Chief Judge of Chonburi that he was writing a book on Thailand’s libel laws – and the book would feature the libels of Andrew Drummond.

The book has never been published, nor have other promised literary works.

No.10. Ripping of a government video for the BOI - Board of Investment ‘One Stop One Start Service Centres’ to promote his Pattaya, One-Stop-Service-Centre pretending he had offices nationwide.

Visitors to his One Stop Service Center site were treated to a video featuring former Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva promoting the government scheme.

But then again Drew Noyes boasts that he is an advisor to Thai government officials

No. 11. Demanding exhorbitant sums from US porn makers in Pattaya to escape court action.

Most went elsewhere and found it cheaper – and yes they still never went to court.

One such film-maker Tony Poer, left, claims Noyes demanded US$50,000 to make his troubles go away.

No. 12. Founding the Pattaya Optimists, a group dedicated to help under-aged children with founding members which included, a now convicted child sexual molester Brian Wright,  three boiler room fraudsters, two of them currently targeting investors in the UK,  and an internet porn king Michael Strouse.

The Pattaya Optimists folded after Drew Noyes failed to pay his dues to the parent organisation in the United States.

No. 13. Announcing to readers of the Pattaya Times that he had could fix the BP oil slick in the Gulf of Mexico with a patented invention and inventing quotes saying that his plan was being considered.

The then editor of the Pattaya Times resigned over the story quite rightly saying his reputation was being compromised. The contraption designed to clear up the spill looked like something out of Jules Verne.

Rogue staff at the Pattaya Times created their own mock-up of the Huffington Post with Drew Noyes on the front page.

No.14. Announcing the rumoured death of Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra suggesting prostate cancer as a possible cause as a splash in the Pattaya Times.

No. 15. Ripping off punters by offering them shares in the Pattaya Times, a free Pattaya Times jacket and a work permit as a journalist on the Pattaya Times for 1 million baht.

He went about printing his own press cards for foreign 'journalists' at the Pattaya Times - but not many worked there.

No. 16. Ripping off house buyers by getting them to put their property in the name of his wife – ‘Much safer than putting it in the name of your own wife’ – to protect their investment – and charging them US$5000 for the service. This led to a furious Facebook argument between Noyes and retired New York publisher Stuart Furstman who fell for Noyes' con - costing him in total US$10,000.

No.17. Falsely claiming that he has spent 17 years in the service of the King of Thailand and has completed training for skydiving and marksmanship at the hands of the Thai Army and that he was THE Master of Ceremonies for the 80th Birthday celebrations of King Bhumiphol celebrations.
And…and….and – that just off the top of my head.

And finally British history from the Noyes view point and a reminder of Noyes claims to have come by Royal Proclamation.

Flying Sporran's Weekend Diary

The ‘Flying Sporran’ is feeling like a bear with a sore head today I’m afraid after bopping the night away at ‘Levels Club and Lounge’ one of the many nightspots in Bangkok now under the control of British boiler room operator Paul Hayward, aka Hilton.

Surprise surprise, I come across my old chums Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson of possibly the world’s biggest boy band ‘One Direction’.

He’s been reported to have a drink problem so I hitched up my tights and steered him away from the ‘unknown brands’ dressed up as designer drinks and let him have one from my hip flask and fiddle with my directional mike.

He did not hang around that long though. He slipped out with Louis to go to RCA.

There were so many bald headed Brits in the club that it was difficult to spot Birmingham Paul who has been keeping a low profile recently despite being fired up by the military lifting of restrictions on BR operations and the demise of the Crime Suppression Division.

One Direction played earlier at Rajamangala Stadium so the Flying Sporran took the airport link to town to avoid the crowds.

AUSTRALIAN WHO DIED IN IBOGAINE DRUGS PROGRAMME SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN TREATED

THAI IBOGAINE DEATH SCANDAL

ONE WOMAN TO BE DEPORTED FOR MANSLAUGHTER - BUT TWO OTHERS SHOULD BE CHARGED TOO

A 33-year-old Australian man, who allegedly died while undergoing treatment with the hallucinogenic drug Ibogaine on the Thai holiday island of Koh Phangan produced medical reports to the people running the programme which showed that he should not even have been offered treatment, an investigation has shown.

Brodie Noel Smith from Mandurah, West Australia, almost certainly died because the people running the unregistered programme were not only unqualified to do so without medical supervision, but gave scant regard to the conditions under which the drug should be administered.

Ibogaine, taken from the drug of the Iboga tree and used in tribal rituals in Gabon, West Africa, has been proven to have a success rate against drug addiction, say experts. But it should be administered with caution.

But in Thailand the programme was offered by two American’s from Buffalo, New York State, who have been described as little more than ‘snake oil salesmen’ aided by a woman, a former go-go dancer who ran an escort service in Hoover, Alabama – who last week was arrested by police for deportation back to home where she faces after absconding from a five year sentence for manslaughter.

Kelly Miller
Police on Koh Phangan failed to investigate the death of Brodie Smith, who was accompanied in his treatment by his girlfriend Kara Spark.

Not only did they not appear to acknowledge that Brodie was undergoing Ibogaine treatment – but they accepted statements by Americans Simon Picone and Victor Cracknell that he had shot himself up with a drug before Victor Cracknell allegedly visited him as ‘an old friend’ to take him on a tour around the island.

Cracknell and Picone were offering the treatment in a guest house on Koh Phangan with Kelly Lynn Miller, from Bessemer, Alabama, acting as nurse and greeter.

In a statement to Brodie’s next of kin, his mother Dianne Tucker, from Halls Creek, Kimberley, West Australia Jonathan Dickinson, Director of the Global Ibogaine Therapist Alliance, which is independently investigating the death said:

Victor Cracknell - no angel
“There is one important detail that has left an unanswered question in our communication with the providers. Regardless of whether or not Brodie was given Ibogaine, he was accepted for treatment, and was on site preparing to be treated. However, the medical tests that Brodie submitted to them showed that he had a prolonged QTc interval.
The QT is the measurement of the time interval between two points on the electrical beat of the heart. If these are too long, it causes a cardiac arrhythmia, which can be fatal. Ibogaine is known to prolong the QT interval, so it is very important to first check patients to make sure that their QT is not already approaching a dangerous range. In Brodie's case, his QTc interval was not only long; it was "prolonged" according the FDA definition of prolonged QTc interval.

Mike Picone - selling colloidal gold
The fatalities that have occurred with Ibogaine treatment have been studied, and there is consensus in the medical community that they only occur in the presence of pre-existing heart conditions, severe liver malfunction, or co-administration of other illicit drugs.
Ibogaine physiologically resets tolerance to opiates and other drugs, so there have also been cases of overdose when people who use drugs after treatment take the same dose they were accustomed to taking. It is an important part of a provider's duty to avoid potential harm by informing patients that if they choose to use drugs, they must take a dose that a drug-naive person would take, as though they were new users.
Brodie and Kara Spark
In Brodie's case, without the toxicology reports showing he had ibogaine and/or noribogaine in his system, we can't say defensibly that this is what might have happened.
But, we do have serious questions as to why Brodie was on-site awaiting treatment in the first place. His QTc may have been prolonged by the methamphetamine use, but regardless, he should have been excluded for treatment until this was under control. If they did not consider this aspect of the electrocardiogram, we're not sure what part of it they did consider. It is by far the simplest detail that one needs to take into consideration.”
Cracknell and Picone are believed to have left the island after the circumstances surrounding Brodie’s death were first published on this site. A complaint has been made with Thailand’s Ministry of Health which regulates all medical clinics and programmes."

Both Kara Spark his girlfriend and Brodie's mother Dianne Tucker have asked the Australian government to intervene to press an investigation of Picone and Cracknell for manslaughter - but it is believed they have long since left the island.

Said Kara: I will always remember this and I will never re-cover from this. I have lost everything, all my hopes and dreams. They are to blame, I don't understand how people could be so horrible and cruel and to not feel guilty or remorseful makes me sick."

THAILAND'S ROLLING CRACK DOWN ON DEMOCRACY

$

Human Rights Watch today called for charges to be dropped against critics who were charged yesterday for violating the ban on criminal activity after being arrested on February for holding a mock election at the Bangkok Art and Cultural Centre on February 14th.

The four will face the Bangkok Military Court in what HRW described as a 'rolling crack down on civil and political rights in Thailand'.

The military government's action appears to fly in the face of pledge by PM Prayuth Chan-Ocha to return Thailand to democracy as 'soon as possible'.

And indeed the government's high profile crackdown on corruption appears to have been more cosmetic than real. It is now cracking down on internet websites and has announced it will close down or rather block 500 more.

However government censorship of the internet is more cosmetic than real and subscribers in Thailand are becoming more and more aware of easy ways around government blocks.

Here follows the HRW statement:

Thailand: Drop Charges Against Peaceful Critics
End Trials of Civilians in Military Courts

(New York, March 17, 2015) – Thai authorities should immediately drop charges against four activists who peacefully expressed opposition to military rule, Human Rights Watch said today.

On March 16, 2015, Bangkok police charged four activists for violating the ban on political activity and holding a public gathering of more than five people. Those charged were: Sirawit Serithiwat, a student activist from Thammasat University; Pansak Srithep, a pro-democracy activist and the father of a boy killed by the military during the 2010 political violence; Anon Numpa, a human rights lawyer; and Wannakiet Chusuwan, a pro-democracy activist and taxi driver. After being charged, the four activists were immediately sent to the Bangkok Military Court, where they face trial with no right to appeal.

“The Thai military junta should immediately stop arresting and prosecuting peaceful critics and end the trial of civilians in military courts,” said Brad Adams, Asia director at Human Rights Watch. “Every arbitrary arrest shows Thailand descending deeper into dictatorial rule.”

Thai authorities arrested the four activists on February 14 at the Bangkok Art and Cultural Center while they were holding a mock election and calling for martial law to be revoked. If found guilty they could be jailed for one year and fined up to 20,000 baht (US$625). Anon also faces an additional charge under the Computer Crime Act for criticizing the military authorities on his Facebook page, which could result in up to 25 years in prison and a fine of up to 500,000 baht ($15,625).

The four activists were arrested less than a week after Prime Minister Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha, leader of the ruling National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) junta, publicly pledged to return Thailand to democratic civilian rule through free and fair elections as soon as possible.

The NCPO continues to rule Thailand under the Martial Law Act of 1914 and has severely repressed fundamental rights and freedoms that are essential for the restoration of democracy, Human Rights Watch said.

Three days after seizing power on May 22, 2014, the NCPO issued its 37th order, which replaced civilian courts with military tribunals for some offenses—including articles 107 to 112, which concern lese majeste crimes, and crimes regarding national security and sedition as stipulated in articles 113 to 118. Individuals who violate the NCPO’s orders are also subject to trial by military court. At least 700 people, most of them political dissidents, have been sent to trials in military courts since the coup.

As a party to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), Thailand is obligated to uphold and take measures to ensure basic fair trial rights. Governments are prohibited from using military courts to try civilians when civilian courts can still function.

The Human Rights Committee, the international expert body that monitors state compliance with the ICCPR, has stated in its General Comment on the right to a fair trial that “the trial of civilians in military or special courts may raise serious problems as far as the equitable, impartial and independent administration of justice is concerned.

” This is particularly problematic in Thailand where every element of military courts functions within the Defense Ministry’s chain of command, which has been controlled by the NCPO since the coup.

“The rolling crackdown on civil and political rights in Thailand continues without letup,” Adams said. “Promises to respect human rights and restore democracy are constantly contradicted by the junta’s actions.”

WORLD-WIDE FINANCIAL SCANDAL EXPOSED ON OFFSHORE ALERT

A 54-year-old Irishman is heading what could be one of the biggest offshore criminal financial enterprises in history, Offshore Alert Claims today.

Investors could have been taken down for over US$15 billion.

The Mauritius based Belvedere Management Group run by Irishman David Dawson Cosgrove, South African fund manager Cobus Kellermann, and 42-year-old Mauritian accountant Kenneth Maillard, administers some 125 hedge funds, and owns and operates dozens of other companies involved in fund administration, securities broking, life insurance, investment management.

But, claims Offshore Alert; 'not only are there signs of Belvedere being on the verge of collapse, but evidence shows:

*Funds that are blatantly fraudulent, including a current $130 million Ponzi scheme in Cayman.\*Funds that simply disappear or fail in dubious circumstances, including the £400 million Harlequin Property Fund that has been unraveling over the last few years.
*False Net Asset Values that deceive investors into believing their money is growing;*Investors unable to make redemptions.
*Misappropriation of millions of dollars by insiders via a web of offshore companies.
*Related-party transactions that are used to strip out cash and artificially inflate assets.
*Conflicts of interest galore, which enable insiders to conceal their illegal activity.
*Material omissions and false statements in offering documents and marketing material

Offshore Alert warns that ‘assisting them are professional service providers who are willfully complicit or grossly negligent, leaving themselves exposed to massive liabilities when the group inevitably collapses.’ Among the service providers are well known banks.

Among the funds named in the report by Offshore Alert website boss David Marchant are the Caldora International Fund, and Caldora Asset Management (of which Cosgrove is listed as director ) which have already been exposed on this site and was being flogged by Phuket based former bankrupt British businessman Neal Davies.

Neal 'Caldora' Davies
The deVere Group which are very active in Thailand has put some US$50 million of client funds into the Strategic Growth Fund, managed by Cobus Kellerman.

And an offshoot of Belvedere the CWM group also has a Thai company CWM Thailand.

Its Forex Company, CWM FX  was raided this month by the City of London Police's fraud squad.

'Thirteen employees were arrested as part of a criminal investigation into what a source said was a Ponzi scheme totaling at least £100 million.'

BUT ANALYSTS DID NOT PREDICT MURDER, SUICIDE AND OTHER 'RUMOURS'

MGMB Asset Management  regarded by many as the cream of the financial companies has issued a statement in the light of the exposure on the website Offshore Alertthat an associated c what was described as possibly ‘the biggest offshore criminal financial enterprises in history’.

Paul Gambles head of MBMG described the allegations as ‘rumours’ insisting no MBMG clients would be affected. Offshore Alert seems to more than suggest that some US$13 billion may be going up in smoke - and much already has.

The whole scenario is linked to a murder and suicide in Capetown and those events are directly linked to a 'former' consultant to MBMG a Mr. Jacobus Kellerman. Its all tied in with the group Belvedere Asset Management, registered in Mauritius.

iol news

The MBMG statement issued by Paul Gambles read:

Gambles
‘Regarding the Offshore Alert article on Belvedere, no MBMG Group entities, their employees or any clients are in any way exposed as a result of either the rumours contained in the article or the  investigations detailed by the MFSC in the communiqué it has issued in response.
Following a strategic review undertaken in 2012 MBMG Group began to implement a new structure to provide fee-based advice in Thailand from a SEC-regulated company, MBMG Investment Advisory Company, and Asset Management in Singapore from MBMG Group Singapore Pte.

In addition, the Monetary Authority of Singapore stipulated last year as part of its licensing requirement severing ties with Mauritius.   This in no way reflects on Mauritius, its regulators, any of the parties there that we’ve worked with at various times or any of the current rumours or investigations.

It merely represents MBMG Group’s commitment to provide the very highest quality of
service with the highest level of regulation and transparency from its bases in Thailand and Singapore.
Regarding Cobus Kellerman, in his previous roles Mr. Kellerman was one of several hundred analysts who each contributed a handful of pieces of analysis and advice to MBMG Asset Management but not, as far as I’m aware since the strategic review in 2012.”
Indeed but those dates do not work for me.

Both Gambles and his deputy Graham  Macdonald, O.B.E., former Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce, heavily promoted Belvedere Asset Management and associated companies headed by Irishman David Cosgrove and South African Jacobus Kellerman not only in their literature but also in stories disseminated to local newspapers in Asia. (Incidentally having got his O.B.E Macdonald then left to become President of the South African Chamber of Commerce in Thailand).

Pattaya Mail 'Hmm - which house of cards Mr.Macdonald?' Kellerman's perhaps?

Kellerman appears to have been a guest writer on the MBMG website but it appears there has been a bit of housekeeping.

In March 2012 MBMG put out the following statement:

MBMG's 'aggressive' portfolio managed by MBMG Asset Management Chief Investment Officer Paul Gambles outperformed its ARC benchmark by 19.89% in 2011.

"This is just as impressive as the 'aggressive' performance given the extremely tight risk mandate in the 'cautious' investment sector," said Gambles.
Additional market-beating results were achieved through MBMG's partnership with Cobus Kellerman of Lancelot Investments SARC, Scott Campbell and Martin Gray of Miton Optimal Guernsey. MBMG's 'cautious' portfolio outperformed its ARC benchmark by 0.92%..”

Kellerman

MGMB was for a while at least registered to the offices of Belvedere Asset Management in Mauritius.

It is possible Gamble may be playing down MBMG’s relationship with both Belvedere and Kellerman, giving the glowing reports they have given in print on both, and also given that in May 2013 Belvedere was sponsoring a charity golf tournament in Thailand where both Macdonald and Gamble turned up to dish out the prizes and that was not the only event.  In fact the association between them seems to have dated back to at least 2004.

Pattaya Mail

Taking this into account I am taking Gamble’s statement: “Mr. Kellerman was one of several hundred analysts who each contributed a handful of pieces of analysis and advice to MBMG Asset Management” with a very large pinch of salt. But then of course it is only IFA speak.

There is Kellerman and Lancelot again

Anyway it is just as well MBGM cut the knot. A murder and suicide in Africa and links to Kellerman must have negated endless press releases put out on paid for ‘wire services’.

MBMG I should point out did not put clients in the disastrous LMMPF or Axoim Fund - two collapses also forecast by 'Offshore Alert'.

But they have been a bit injudicious about the staff they have employed.

THE 'SOPHISTICATED BERKS' OF BANGKOK EXPOSED

Left, unknown, Hallett, right
PSST! WANNA HIGH CLASS GIRL -

WANNA INVEST IN OUR ART!

They put on airs and graces. One might even be driven to believe one is a Lord of the Realm (the British one)  – as 'Lord' is how he has been known to call himself – but you need to watch out for a few ‘Charlies’ in Bangkok starting up new ventures.

Take Mark Hallett. He is from Somerset in England’s West Country where his father is a scrap metal dealer.

Hallett has re-invented himself in Bangkok as a high roller – But on the way he has left a trail of fraud and misery.

His latest venture is ‘Black Label Escorts’ a so called high society call girl service offering sophisticated women for foreign visitors.

According to testimonials, which probably do not bear much scrutiny, one wheel chair bound American had the time of his life.

There seem few more qualified for such a venture.

Mark Hallett is well known in the UK. That is where he allegedly ran a fraud Ponzi scheme to swindle people out of £3.9 million pounds. Not surprising he hopped it.

I would say he is wanted but British Police quite often British prosecutors give up on cases like this. The long arm of the law can in fact be depressingly short.

Hallett has come a long way from his scrap metal days when he used help out his old man smash up 40-year old Ford Cortinas.

Now he is hanging out in 184 on the 18th floor of Tower B of the Millenium Condo - not far from Paul Hayward, aka Paul Hilton - the boiler room guy who runs Nana Plaza.

Here is his blurb, Mark calls himself Max by the way.

"Saying good-bye to Bow and Bena put a lump in my throat," said crippled client

But if you do not believe this I guess you will also not believe that this guy Sam had much fun with Bow and Bena either. I do however believe he is offering a service ' beyond his clients expectations'.

Mark has also gone into business with Geoffrey Bond, or Lord Geoffrey Bond as he sometimes calls himself.  Mr. Bond has got together with a couple of other swingers from the Spasso, and former Bed Supper Club scene and started ‘The Wolf Bar’ on Bangkok’s Sukhumvit Road – opposite the Holiday Inn at the mouth of Soi 22.

They are offering shareholdings willy nilly. Geoffrey also says he is the Honarary Consul for Montenegro.

Apparently ‘The Wolf Bar’ is your first step to sophistication in Bangkok if you ain’t got it.

The second step is ‘Spanks Club’.

Well what ‘Knight of the Realm’ worth his salt does not like to give a gal a spank on the bottom, but no, Spanks (not yet opened) is apparently an ‘Arts Club’ started by Bond for the discerning and sophisticated client.

There's that sophisticated feel again for playful gentleman but I am not sure about the 'Sharply Cut male staff who know how to flirt and be cheeky'.

But wait you can invest in this club too.

No kidding! All you need is the odd 500,000 baht.

But hang on before you invest in any of Mr. Bond’s projects and look for his previous ones, Advanced Bio Power Ltd., Ion mining group Ltd, Lottosys holdings Ltd, Nummus Defense, Nummus Ltd. Yes. They have all seem a bit inactive. Hope nobody lost investing.

I also hope he is not going to go bust with this one, or at least his investors. Paris M Batra, well known at the Bedsupper Club is assuming some airs and graces. He was certainly not born with the name Paris, I'm guessing it was Manoj.  Did he not run that 'Champagne Bar' at the bottom of Sukhumvit next to 'Bullys'.

And as for Slovakian Sandro M Curgaly - he was not born with that name either.  Dig the smoking jackets they are wearing? He could be described as a mover and shaker, but perhaps more accurately a 'people mover'. He was very friendly with Alex Chekov, aka Adrian Valkovic, now a prisoner in New York's Metropolitan Detention Center, in connection with an assignement of alleged North Korean 'Ice' being despatched to the US.  And that for followers of this site brings us back to 'The Game' pub, boiler rooms and the late Glendon R Bullard.

Anyway I guess Geoffrey cannot be doing so bad, because he has found a life of unmitigated pleasure. Here it is below and generous Geoffrey is offering his hedonistic life-style to people worldwide; but I guess not for three and fourpence.

I cannot wait. Well its all a laugh of course isn’t it. But there will be a few casualties along the way.

DREW NOYES’ INTERNET FRENZY AS HE AWAITS APPEAL FOR EXTORTION

Flying Sporran’s Weekend Diary (Noyes Update)

Wayward American Drew Noyes is currently in an internet frenzy as he awaits with his ‘Thai wife’ Wanrapa Boonsu the result of his conviction for extortion which is currently at the Thai Appeal Court.

Noyes, who with Boonsu, was sentenced to jail for two years, due in no small part to the assistance of this site. is currently going ape all over Facebook claiming I am on the run for accusing Pattaya businessmen of false crimes.

There is of course nothing false about the crimes of Drew Noyes, who was exposed in the Wilmington Morning Star in North Carolina twenty years ago and has not been able to work in the United States ever since. But who are all these other Pattaya businessmen? - He claims there are 30.

That would maybe about the right figure for Pattaya 'businessmen' exposed on this site but I have yet to see any writs. I would have to say Drew Noyes looked like a pretty guilty businessmen when he was arrested for extortion.

He also claims of course he came to Thailand by ‘Royal Proclamation’ and that he was an American lawyer. These myths were dispelled a long time ago – but as an indication of how enraged he is at his exposure one needs to check out his latest post which shows how frenetically he is tapping the keyboards, probably even banging them.

Last night for instance he made 11 edits between 6.54 pm and 7.19 before going out to tell everyone to read of the latest crimes of Andrew Drummond.

I noticed he decided to delete the 100 crimes of Andrew Drummond and delete the 12 convictions.

However if you read the post he says among other things:

“Drummond was caught posting Trash for Cash by admitting he was paid to defame people by competitors.”
I admitted to Drew Noyes all this? I do not know what it is with this guy at all. He thinks every foreigner came to Thailand for the same bad reasons he did.

And“Posting on the internet as real news stories altered photos to implicate innocent people of guilt in articles with fake quotes and false accusations." More than 30 victims have criminal cases against Drummond including some children.”

Kids? Good god are Drew's kids now queuing up at Pattaya court? If anyone should be doing that it should be the one he had by his wife's 14-year-old niece.

“US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents as well as Homeland Security in the United States have been but (sic) on notice to detain Drummond before entry snd (sic) to notify Thai police. Thai Airways may provide a flight to return Drummond to Thailand to serve his sentences."
Well there are no sentences to serve of course but I'm all for a free Thai Airways flight, or even something to increase my air miles.I don't think Homeland Security are talking to Noyes - but the IRS certainly so.

This is followed by a letter from his former squeeze, Warichaya Pharawech, better known as Nam from the Buffalo Bar –  (The Buffalo bar site is under reconstruction after Noyes claimed his wife was pictured in their gallery of hostesses). She says in Drewspeak:

"Me and another Thai lady and her kids have criminal cases against this liar Andrew Drummond. . We all want the police to catch him. Andrew is a very bad man. He writes lies to hurt people to make him look big. I am a college educated and licensed Thailand Insurance Broker and he calls me a bar girl. Not polite. Not true. Very bad man from England who come to my country to make problems then run away."

Seems like Noyes is losing control. Nam an educated licensed insurance broker?

Well Drew Noyes did give her a job in his Pattaya Lawyers, One-Stop-Service, One-Stop-Legal Service offices. And she is a more scheming educational step up from his ex-wife who could not even read or write Thai. But this is something of an exaggeration I fear.

I have not a clue who the other lady is. But Nam is being sued I know.

#DrewNoyes apparently is offering US$5000 for my whereabouts’. For heaven’s sake take the cash first before you tell! You might even get the country right!

RECTOR OF INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY 'THREATENED TO HAVE COMPLAINING STUDENTS ASSASSINATED.'

EMBEZZLEMENT AND CORRUPTION ALLEGATIONS AT ‘INDIAN’ AMERICAN UNIVERSITY IN THAILAND
Amazing allegations of embezzlement, corruption, and incompetence have been made against Webster’s University of Thailand which has its major campus in Cham-Am.

The allegations have been made by a former educator there who has sent the file to Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-Ocha complaining about the administration, which is in the main Indian.

The academic’s report makes a fascinating read and is backed up by many documents.

Essentially the author, Jesse Nichols, claims that Webster University is no more than a diploma mill, which fabricates its educational successes and whose senior figures pocket cash meant for education to go on jollies.

It appears the parent Webster University in the United States has not yet done an audit, but representatives have visited and have been wined and dined.

The current Rector of the University is Rakish Tapur, who, it is alleged, told student leaders at a meeting with the SGA (the student council) that they“would be shot” (assassinated by a “hit man”) if they didn’t stop complaining about the poor quality of academics, facilities, and otherwise at the WUT campus.

His deputy is Nisha Ray-Chaudri of which the author Jesse Nichols says:

“Academic Director Nisha Ray-Chaudhuri has been submitting fraudulent “research” to the Thai Ministry of Education for multiple years in a row in order to renew WUT’s “university-level” Quality Assessment ratings from the Thai government, which requires ongoing PhD research to be performed.
Ray-Chaudhuri alleged to the Committee that she received direct instruction from Thakur on how to carry out the fraud, including submitting research that had been completed by other Webster University campuses, changing the names on certain research projects, re-submitting old research papers, and submitting the names of “full-time” faculty that do not work at the WUT campus.

Ray-Chaudhuri
Interestingly, even with allegedly fraudulent research being submitted, the Thai QA system still concluded that WUT has an extremely poor rating in terms of full-time faculty and overall research activity.
Specifically, for the “15” full-time faculty that WUT claims to employ, only a mere ฿7,495 THB (approximately $230 USD) is apparently budgeted for each “researcher” per year to carry out their mandatory university-level research, resulting in a score of just 1.4 out of 5 possible points for the WUT campus in that category.

One of the fascinating aspects of the report is the mention of the hiring of academics with phony qualifications. Up comes Dr. Roy Krishnan first exposed on this site last year as a person who has re-invented himself in Thailand.

Jesse Nichols writes: “Then of course, there’s the story of “Dr.” Edward Roy Krishnan, a scam artist from Malaysia with multiple “doctorate” degrees he purchased from diploma mills.
Guess which Thai university hired him without a second thought? That’s right, WUT.
There’s also the new “director” of WUT’s School of Business and Technology, Ramona Mihaela Paun, who claims 1 Phd, 2 Masters, and a Bachelors from Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, along with a Phd and Bachelors from the University of Gothenburg. Strangely, she achieved this impressive amount of six different degrees at the same time she claims to have held full time jobs at JCI Romania, a Romanian non-profit organization.”
COMMENT: Enjoy the report all you out there in the academic world. Something similar could be happening close to you. I enjoyed it and may I say it was very well researched, for an ex-educator at WUT! Don't expect Thailand's current Prime Minister to do anything about this though.

AN END TO THAILAND'S MOST FAMOUS PARADISE BEACH?

WHAT HAPPENED TO 'THE BEACH'

It is the very beach which was the location for the secret paradise beach found by backpackers in the film ‘The Beach’ starring Leonardo di Caprio from the Alex Garland novel.

Now its chok a blok with Chinese tourists. The picture above was put on Facebook by Niruth Darid Bannob - and publicised on Thai PBS TV.

No sooner had filming finished in 1999 than Thais complained how Hollywood had destroyed this idyllic location by replanting and moving trees.

I went down to cover the story as producer Andrew Macdonald was harangued by the Thai media.

Andrew Macdonald facing a hostile Thai press

20th Century Fox and the Thai Forestry Department were even sued for damaging the environment - but it is not clear what happened to the case.

Attempts were even made to have the film banned:

The BBC reported at the time:

MPs were also unhappy with a scene, which they said made Thailand look like a haven for drug addicts.
"In the movie it appears that marijuana is easy to find here and they did a mock-up of the full moon party," Kuthep Saikachang said.

The committee wants Thai film censors to pull the movie, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio even though it has already been passed for release on Friday.

"Although we will not be able to stop the showing we want the public to more aware of Hollywood film-makers who distort Asian people and their culture," Kuthep Saikachang added.

A lot more than marijuana has been available at the Full Moon Parties for years and many foreigners have died.

Is this a case of 'Pass the Sick Bag Alice' for there is no aspect of tourism that the Thai industry it seems cannot and will not exploit to the detriment of the country and in the search for short time big bucks.  The makers of the film 'The Beach' were in fact very environmentally conscious.

‘I’VE DONE NOTHING WRONG’ SAYS HAWOLD

HAWOLD – LORD OF THE MANOR FIGHTS BACK

BUT SHOULD WE BEWARE OF SIRENS SOUNDING LIKE PUPPY DOGS?

Flying Sporran’s Weekly Diary.

Briton Geoffrey Bond, Lord of the Manor of Hawald, a title which like many others can be acquired on the internet for £25, has written in to complain and ask for withdrawal of a story on this site concerning confidence tricksters and the newly opened ‘Wolf Bar’ in Bangkok.

Here is the letter – I have deleted a couple of names because to include them may of course be libelous.

“I was a little upset to see your article on Sophisticated Berks of Bangkok Exposed that dragged in WOLF as a lot of good people are working in WOLF and not sure why the very personal attack on me and WOLF was necessary?
We haven't done anything wrong. I understand the expose on Mark Hallet and he will not be back to WOLF. Your friend xxxxxxx xxxxxx, and also a good friend of the WOLF restaurant owner, a lovely solo mother of 3 children, came in and told us that he knows you and that a Baron XXXX XXX XXXXX was next on the expose list and we should distance ourselves from him.
We did some DD on him and he's also been told not to return. If there is anything you wish to discuss with me, I would be happy to discuss.
Your personal dig at me was not polite nor necessary and all my network who saw it and generally support your work were disappointed.
For WOLF it hurts 20 Thai who do not even know these people you have identified. I would appreciate it if you could remove this art article or edit it so that WOLF and I are removed from this site and association with these people. I will await your comment back. Regards, Geoffrey.”
Well first of all I should say that of course there was no attack on the ‘Thai owner – the lovely solo mother of three – and secondly while I do not do bar or restaurant reviews, I am sure the food and drink may be very good. So my apologies to those 20 Thais in the back room.

But XXXX XXX XXXXX is not on my next exposé list, well not yet.
Sir John Bond - a likeness

And it seems awfully unfortunate that he has now had not just one but two shareholders however that he has had to question.

So to all out there have a happy drink and a meal with the Bangkok Berks. And look here's another advert for the place.

But do not put your cash in. Once you do, getting it back may be like extracting the sugar cane from the mouth of an elephant.

Contrary to the Lord of the Manor of Hawold’s claims I am afraid according to my postbag  he has done more than a few things wrong not just in Thailand, so I won’t be deleting his name quite yet, especially a guy who is selling ‘hedonism’ in Thailand.

According to ‘members’ of ‘The Wolf’ Geoffrey claims to be the son of Lord John Reginald Bond, former Chairman of HSBC Bank.   It appears that under Sir John’s tenure-ship are the roots of HSBC’s major current problems.

This from the Daily Mail:

When the Swiss tax dodging scandal erupted; HSBC blamed its failure to properly ‘integrate’ its huge new private banking arm into the group.
In other words, it failed to crack down on dubious practices that were rife at the Swiss banking arm.
A significant portion of that blame has to be laid at the feet of Bond, 73.”

I am not sure Geoffrey’s claim is true. Sir John had a daughter and two sons. And there is a likeness. (But Geoffrey also refers to his father as Michael, I'm told)

But if it were – I would have been talking to the Daily Mail some time ago.

But if he claims to be a Lord, as his critics say, then he is fibbing. On his passport he states rather bumptiously.

But that’s one for the birds I guess and to impress foreign officials who know no better

I’m guessing he is using this to go through ‘diplomatic’ channels –  together with his ‘Honorary Consul of Montenegro’ card. Lord of the Manor titles can be bought for a few nickers, quid etc. on the net.

You even get a few square feet of some bog somewhere.

The title Lord of the Manor does not of course entitle anybody to sit in the House of Lords or even a privileged seat in a bus station waiting room.

But you could get a part in a BBC sit-com.

I cannot find the Manor of Hawald in the UK and am hoping in his next letter Geoffrey will tell me where it is. He was born in Malacca so I guess he does not have too much of a connection with the Manor of Hawald, wherever it is.

But I did find a Hawald on the website ‘Mysterious Britain and Northern Ireland’ where a certain Eli Hawald in the village of Hawald which has no electricity saw a space craft land, figures being shot out, and then leaving after a siren went off sounding like puppy dogs.’  I think that Hawald could be in Israel though.

Oh and here is another reason, of many, why I will not be taking Geoffrey's name down quite yet.

Take this line-up for instance which he proudly displays on 'The Wolf' website. These guys are cashed up of course but Geoffrey needs to check their antecedents and where they got their cash from.

BRIAN GOUDIE BOASTS HOW FAKE LAWYERS FOOLED THAI COURT

NOW FAKE SCOTS BARRISTERS SAYS HE IS PREPARING FOR LEGAL EXTRAVAGANZA IN THAILAND!

Photo-shopped
Brian Goudie, the infamous fake barrister, who is really former convict E0000274 from Hakea Prison, West Australia, has gone on Facebook to boast how he and American businessmen Drew Noyes made a fool of the Thai justice system.

Threatening oilman Ally Cooper, a supporter of this site, Goudie, from Falkirk, Scotland also used a few lowlifeland Scottish expressions in his diatribe claiming he was going to put Ally Cooper behind bars.

Goudie claims he is going to win his case against Barbara Fanelli Miller a 76-year-old woman from Madison, Wisconsin, on a ‘technicality’ and that Ally Cooper is going to be arrested for libeling him under Thailand’s Computer Crime Act.

Goudie is on criminal trial in Pattaya for posing as a barrister to defraud Mrs Miller out of 7.8 million baht (though the real figure is higher and closer to US$300,000) to defend her son Gregory Miller, on child sex abuse charges. (A retrial has been ordered in the case of Gregory Miller).

A civil judgment has already been made against him for 7.8 million. Goudie is of course not a barrister or a former officer in the Royal Marines as he has claimed. He is a fraudster and confidence trickster, who was jailed in Australia for 6 years for stealing from a W.A. Mining Company - and who refused to return to Scotland to face a warrant of arrest for a fraud on the Royal Bank of Scotland where he was a bank teller.

He has also been charged with embezzling cash awarded by a court as compensation to clients of his pseudo law firm 'Alba Laws'.

'How you gonna work when you are on bail. We got you good and proper,' writes Goudie to Ally Cooper.

Goudie - angry  nyaff apparently
"We got your address by summonsing immigration and would you believe it? Nong Bua Lampu on your TM card. Fucking Gotcha. And now we have it you can expect an avalanche of cases. I can't fucking wait. You're mate has left you high and dry. hahaha."

Then later he adds: 'Little nyaff c*nt, fucked over by two fake lawyers. haahaahah. Take that you vile little nyaff',

Goudie's comments come after he claims he has sold the 'Jaggie Thistle' pub and guesthouse in Jomtien  which he obtained by using a false Power of Attorney on the death bed of former Ulster drugs trafficker Jimmy 'Doc' Halliday.

He goes on to claim that he has placed 85 Computer Crimes charges against Cooper.

Scottish pensioners who have not heard of Brian Goudie (aka Goldie) drinking with and being propped up by their
Thai escorts at the Jaggie Thistle in Jomtien, Pattaya, Thailand

Cooper
From the Maracaibo Basin, Venezuela, Ally Cooper responded: 'There are no warrants out for my arrest and unlikely to be, nor have I received any summonses for any court case. I have not seen Goudie go so berserk on the internet since last year when he was begging for a bar girl to come back to live with him and sending her pictorial roses. I think he's roamin in the gloamin' again.'

COMMENT:  Goudie of course should have been in jail a long time ago and now that he is boasting about the accomplishments of two fake lawyers it is a little indicative of how dysfunctional the legal system is in Thailand. He is suing Cooper for publishing a picture on Facebook of Goudie, photoshopped to look like he is taking part in a gay parade. The photo was originally used on the subzerosiam website, It is highly unlikely the outcome will however be as Goudie predicts.

FRAUD CASE ACCEPTED AGAINST BOSS OF THAI VISA

The boss of the Thai Visa internet forum in Thailand has been indicted on criminal fraud charges by a court in Prachuap Kiri Khan Province of Thailand.

George Anderssen creator of the biggest foreign forum in the country – which recently has been widely criticized for allowing dubious companies to advertise on his site – had been charged in connection with the Thai Visa Property Company, a comparatively recent addition to the business off-shoots of the web forum.

The forum itself is also probably the most controversial in Thailand – and a favourite place for foreigners to whine. But its content is so massive it has become an almost necessary tool for foreigners in Thailand, both good and bad.

Thai Visa has recently entered a 50-50 profit share with property developer Grahame Beecham to generate sales for properties in Thailand. Grahame Beecham has brought the charges.

Thai Visa simultaneously also opened up a bar-restaurant in Hua Hin next to its property office and put its name to a bar in Bangkok’s Sukhumvit Soi 7.

Anderssen and Beecham are understood to have been formerly good friends. Neither was available for comment, but of course either is free to do so, and will receive fair moderation.

Grahame Beecham was in charges of sales and marketing for Orchid Palm Homes in Pattaya developed by Briton Stephen Ayling.

Stephen Ayling is the brother of Paul Ayling from Thorpe Bay, Essex, who died in November in 2012 in London – a year after being attacked in Hua Hin by a man with a wooden club as he drove his motorcycle home.  It is believed he was in a dispute with Thai contractors.

On Tuesday Hua Hin Court accepted the case against Anderrsen and he will be required to pay bail on June 22nd when the case is set for trial.

WILL HOUSE-BUYERS IN 'PARADISE' TAKE THEIR ZIMMER FRAMES TO COURT

Flying Sporran's Weekend Diary

Norbert, back left and Suthep front right
A property landlord on the Thai island of Koh Samui has now a total of 105 cases going through the Thai courts with buyers of his former properties.  That must qualify him for star billing in a new television series ‘Homes from Hell.’

Norbert Verweyen – the German former boss of the Santi Thani Development on the north of island – is now so famous that his name is even whispered in the corridors of power in Westminster.

One British MP was even driven to writing to the British Embassy in Bangkok to ensure the safety of one of her constituents.

Thai Police replied back to the Embassy saying: ‘She’s fine’ without visiting and asking the householder in question.

That may not be surprising as Norbert or his Thai wife often turn up with local Samui police to approve their handiwork hassling residents.

Norbert just does not get up early in the morning to put his towelS over the deck chairs.

He was the creator of the famous ‘Sterlin Wall’ – a wall constructed to block the residents of the Santi Thani estate who voted him out of having anything to do with the management of the estate.

Of course there is no ‘mafia’ in the Koh Samui archipelago.

The world assured that from a spokesman at the very top of Thailand’s police hierarchy after the murders of Hannah Witheridge and David Miller on the nearby island of Koh Tao. If there were mafia of course, surely the police would have known.

This maybe because, as some people have suggested getting it only half right, the police are actually the mafia and local businessmen are just local businessmen.

Among the 105 cases Verweyen has sued, for instance, are members of the new housing development committe.

He has accused them of  ‘working without a permit’.  This may result in a few septuagenarians turning up at Samui court with their Zimmer frames.

Six years ago the British Embassy sent a diplomatic note to the government expressing concern and fears for the safety of British residents on the Santi Thani estate.

It seems that on Santi Thani houses can spontaneously combust and gangs led by some Teutonic boss are alleged to confront recalcitrant residents physically.

Santi Thani

Santi Thani an exclsuive development is getting to sound like Butlins in the 60s.

The letter was of course duly ignored. The British Mission, helpless without being able to call on gunboats,  has not done to much since.

Debbie Abrahams, Labour MP for Oldham and Saddleworth East, has been active in the field and is concerned but does not have much hope that the Foreign and Commonwealth can take the matter further.

Debbie Abrahams
Thailand’s current military government is even less approachable ‘democratically elected governments’ have been in dealing with issues raised by embassies here, particularly on consular and criminal matters - even though there is a handy foreigner to blame here.

Further Norbert Verweyen has spent a lot of effort ingratiating himself with former Democratic Deputy leader Suthep Thaugsuban, who before becoming a hero for the anti-Thaksinistas, helped bring down the democratic government of Chuan Leekpai, by dishing out land ‘in a Democratic land reform programme’ to some of his rich buddies.

Ms. Abrahams, whom I spoke to yesterday, however is not likely to drop the subject, but it may however raise its head at a later day, grouped with hundreds of Brits who have lost their life savings invested in property in Thailand, and returned to claim social security, thus creating a new class of immigrant.

I am not so sure that Brits in the suburbs of Manchester will be taking to the streets protesting about the ill treatment of their fellow countrymen in what just every brochure describes as a 'tropical paradise' - even though Samui may have become a tropical paradise cum shooting alley.

Norbert runs OK Properties which I guess stands for 'Ostlich Kaput' - (things in the east have gone west).

Despite being barred from anything having to do with Santi Thani management Norbert's wife and cohorts recently turned up with the local police to break the developments electricity terminal using good old British burglars tools to do the job.

This of course begs the idea that perhaps soon police on Koh Samui will be changing their uniforms to white striped shirts, black berets, black eye masks with matching matching swag bag.

Norbert has had more than one 'wife' of course, the second but last of whom was murdered.

And a man very similar to him or rather with the same name, and the same wife, was involved in some sort of car chase in Pattaya.

BRITISH JOURNALIST CLEARED IN 'GAY MACMAFIA' LIBEL CASE TRIAL

WARRENT CANCELLED - CASH TO BE RETURNED

The Thai Supreme Court has backed the appeal court and acquitted British journalist of criminal libel in a second case brought by Scot James Lumsden, former owner of Boyz Boyz Boyz a go-go club in the Thai resort of Pattaya.

Lumsden
Drummond will be returned the sum of 60,000 Thai baht in a case which has dragged on in the Thai courts for some 13 years.

Lumsden cannot appeal the decision. Drummond had been found guilty at the lower court but acquitted on appeal.

Drummond, owner of this website said he was delighted with the decision. He was doing his journalist warning unsuspecting foreigners of the perils of doing business in the resort.

His story told how two men had invested in James Lumsden and Gordon May’s businesses in Boyz Town, a gay commercial sex area of Pattaya.

Iain Macdonald, the son of a former Provost of Inverness had invested some 10 million baht in Boyz Boyz Boyz and Lumsden and May’s Ambience Hotel.

Iain Macdonald, 28, invested some £300,000 in the a-go-go bar and Ambience Hotel.

Later he was persuaded to write a will leaving all his possessions to Gordon May’s Thai boyfriend. Within a month he died in a fire at the Ambience Hotel and Macdonald’s mother was convinced he was murdered.

The will written in English was illegal as the main beneficiary signed it. But Macdonald’s mother his next of kin was never given her rightful shares which were worth almost half of the business.

The phony will signed by Macdonald, Lumsden and May's boyfriend Supun Kampamnya
Later businessmen Kevin Quill from Halifax, Yorkshire entered into a business deal with May and Lumsden in the Patika Company in Pattaya owning rooms, and two bars called Splash and Throb in Pattaya’s ‘Boyz Town’.

Jim Lumsden a key member of the Pattaya Gay Festival is also known as Madame Jim

May and Lumsden had turned up in Pattaya in the eighties after both quitting the Edinburgh company Teague Homes. At the time in the minutes of the companies agm it was recored that Mr. May, a director, has misappropriated in excess of £200,000.  May and Lumsden, Teagues company secretary, bought the premises for their gay hotel and go-go-bar and formed the company Bordisorn, with Thai lawyer Prem Dibbayawan.

Kevin Quill excercising in Lard Yao prison
hospital Bangkok
While leaving on a trip to England Mr. Quill was stopped by Pattaya Police at a pre-arranged road block. They ordered him to drive to the police station and on searching his luggage they found 200 cartons of Benson and Hedges cigarettes.

In one packet in the only carton opened Thai Police found some 90 ‘yaa baa’ methamphetamine tables.

Quill was not known a drug user.  Drummond was alerted to the possibility that Quill had been set up by the Drugs Liaison officer at the British Embassy.

His investigations revealed how Quill was removed as a director of his own company by May and Lumsden and their Thai lawyer, his apartment was converted into rooms for rent and his Mercedes was taken over by his partners, all while he was in custody awaiting trial.

An investigation by Police General Noppodol Somboonsap showed that Mr. Quill was framed and the General appearing for Drummond told the court that he had reprimanded the police officers concerned.

Nevertheless the Quill was found guilty at his trial and jailed for six years.

Said Drummond: “This is as much a victory for Kevin Quill and the family of Iain Macdonald as myself. Everybody knew he was framed and the paper work alone proves Macdonald was defrauded.”

Not much of an investigation by Chonburi police into themselves.

Late last year the Supreme Court had overturned an acquittal of Drummond on a criminal libel charges and confirmed a £400 fine for libeling Lumsden.
May

The Supreme Court ruled that Drummond’s article in the Bangkok Post would have led people to believe that Lumsden had murdered Macdonald.

Drummond said he was puzzled at the Supreme Court reversal  as no such claim was made in the article as he had no evidence of such.  But people indeed would be suspicious knowing what May and Lumsden had to gain and did gain.

Strangely the Bangkok Post which published the original story was acquitted of all charges at the lower court in Pattaya, while Drummond won both cases on appeal.

But the Bangkok Post had apologised to Lumsden for a story which the Supreme Court has now totally substantiated.

Macdonald in blue shirt
Attempts by Lumsden now the co-owner of the Baan Souy Hotel, Pattaya, to sue Kevin Quill for making false allegations were rejected both at the lower court and appeal court.

Drummond was not present for the reading of the judgment as he was not in Thailand.

A warrant for not attending an earlier hearing was cancelled.

He said he would be sending a copy of the judgement to Bangkok Post's Group editor Pichai Chuensuksawadi.

Drummond left Thailand recently - a departure which was covered by the Guardian, Sydney Morning Herald, Bangkok Post and Phuketwan - claiming he he was acting in the interests of the safety of his family from threats from foreign criminals in Thailand working in collaboration with the Royal Thai Police.

* Andrew Drummond was supported in his legal battle by the British Association of Journalists, the Foreign Correspondents Club of Thailand, and numerous newspapers in the United Kingddom.

CASES PENDING

He is also fighting in the Thai courts cases brought by fake barrister Brian Goudie, aka Goldie, also from Falkirk, Scotland, who is suing for criminal libel after Drummond published photo-shopped pictures of him dressed as a barrister and an officer of the Royal Marines and fake American lawyer Drew Noyes who is also vexatiously suing over a photo-shopped picture also lampooning Noyes.

He is supported along with journalists Alan Morison and Chutima Sidasathian and Workers Rights Andy Hall by a resolution sent to the Royal Thai Government by the European Union.

#BrianGoudie was convicted in Australia of 'theft as a servant' from a West Australia mining company and jailed for six years under the name Goldie. He is currently on criminal trial for posing as a barrister and former officer in the British Royal Marines to cheat Mrs Barbara Fanelli Miller out of just under US$300,000 in legal fees and bail money for her son Gregory Miller.

#DrewNoyes has been convicted and sentenced to 2 years in jail by Pattaya Criminal Court for attempting to extort the Thonglor Clinic in Jomtien, Thailand, out of 7 million baht (later reduced to 2.3) on pain of a police raid and bad publicity in his now defunct Pattaya Times newspaper. He was also the subject of an investigation by Scott Gold (now with the LA Times) in the Morning Star newspaper in Wilmngton, North Carolina, which detailed his phony cv's, and complaints of fraudulent property dealing and share dealing.

Drummond has countersued both Goudie and Noyes and both cases relating to fictional stories on numerous websites they have created have been accepted by the criminal court in Bangkok.

EUROPEAN UNION
DELEGATION TO THAILAND
Press Release
Local EU Statement on the increasing misuse
of criminal defamation laws in Thailand
The European Union Delegation issues the following statement in
agreement with the EU Heads of Mission in Thailand
Bangkok, 14 November 2014
The EU is committed to promoting and
protecting the freedom of opinion and expression worldwide.
The EU
Delegation wishes to express its concern over the increasing misuse of
criminal defamation laws in Thailand. The EU believes that defamation
laws should not be misused to censor criticism and debate concerning
public issues as this constitutes a serious threat to Freedom of
Expression.
Recent cases brought against Human Rights Defender Andy
Hall, journalists Alan Morison and Chutima Sidasathian from the
“Phuketwan” newspaper, and the freelance journalist Andrew Drummond,
have served to demonstrate how criminal defamation laws are
vexatiously used to silence freedom of expression and investigative
journalism in the country.
The EU would like to appeal to State
authorities to fully abide by their international obligations.
As part of wider reform in Thailand, we urge the National Reform Council to
address this issue, so that criminal defamation laws cannot in the
future be used as a means of silencing legitimate analysis or debate.

STATEMENT BY FOREIGN CORRESPONDENTS CLUB OF THAILAND

Foreign Correspondents' Club of Thailand

THE professional membership of the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Thailand supports the statement endorsed by the European Union heads of mission in Thailand concerning the abuse of a suite of defamation laws that continue to stifle legitimate investigation on matters of public interest, free speech and fair comment with the threat and application of criminal penalties.

There has long been concern in such cases that telling the truth may not stand up as a defense in court. Among a number of other concerns is the use of vexatious litigation, or malicious prosecution, in which defendants are forced to defend multiple similar cases filed in different locations by the same plaintiffs or plaintiffs working in concert. Such tactics do not serve the cause of justice or openness and squander public funds in the courts. They should be investigated as a matter of urgency.

COLOV ALMIGHTY! PAPAL BLESSING FOR PATTAYA'S 'MR BIG'

IS NIELS COLOV MAKING HIS BID FOR CANONISATION?

Close to the pearly gates? Niels with a couple of career criminals in
Copenhagen.
Niels Colov, the former Copenhagen gangster, who made a spectacular transition in the Thai resort of Pattaya to become President of the Rotary Club and foreign police volunteers M chief has received a Papal Blessing, readers of his Pattaya People newspaper and viewers of Pattaya People Television have been told.

Actually I missed this, though I should not have because it was the splash story in his Pattaya People; but I can almost hear the heavenly choir beckoning.

Well perhaps not. Niels, according to his own publicity is a devout Buddhist and vegetarian. He has not been saved and thus in the hereafter may be a bunny rabbit instead of entering the pearly gates.

I was of course immediately suspicious, particularly after he was awarded the fake United Nations Cross at a ceremony in a hotel on the outskirts of Bangkok and also became a Knight of Rizal (that one has gone awry by the way).

But no Niels Colov has had a long association with the Father Ray Brennan Foundation which is this year celebrating the 25th Anniversary of its children’s home.

Actually anyone can receive a Papal Blessing by standing outside the Vatican on Christmas Day or Easter Sunday but technically the parchment ones, I read, are meant  for Catholics (and maybe tourists to Rome). I hope that’s not true. We all hoped to be blessed sometime in our lives.

Actually the Father Ray Foundation put in for the Apostolic Blessing on his behalf. I guess it’s for his contributions and publicity in the Pattaya People Media Group.

But any Catholic can get one for a few bucks. You can buy them in Rome or write off for them through your Diocese,  if there are any Catholics out there who need to know. But don’t just believe me just Google.

Apparently the Vatican is now trying to control the business apparently some 600 people face losing their jobs. The money received goes to Papal charities. A calligrapher called Rino Pensa has been making them for 65 years according to a Reuters report how he says he is ‘being thrown away like a rag doll’ –

Mind you that’s a lot less harsh than the words of the prostitute in Copenhagen to whom Colov extended some violence before he came to Thailand. But he did pay his dues in jail if not before the Lord Almighty.

Anyway in an apostolic Blessing the Pope, in this case Francis, calls on the Lord to grant Niels indulgence and forgive all his sins. And on the illuminated parchment paper recognizing his services to the Father Ray Foundation,  the Pope goes even further by offering a ‘ pledge of continued divine protections’.

Well spank my ass and call me Sally I thought the only way to get divine protections in Pattaya was to pay off the Pattaya Police, the courts,  invent your own biography and put on a suit, or uniform.

Niels Colov, centre,  - a long time before he was blessed with a bunch of , well I guess they are not comedians
 in Vesterbro, Copenhagen.

If you watch this video, look at all the gongs and certificates behind him.  There’s a man who needs reassurance.  There’s got to be one there for not wetting the toilet seat.

But as somebody once said: "Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone'.  Though I can still cannot forget this guy Malcolm Leggett, who ended up working in a rice paddy after going to Niels Colov's office for legal advice after meeting him at the Pattaya Expats Club. That was one of Colov's earlier divine protections.

Hong Kong’s financial sleuth Lindell Lucy, of the ‘Rape in Hong Kong’ website has not surprisingly turned his attention to Thailand and so called independent financial advisors in the land of, err, smiles.

Drake
Readers of this site should by now be fully aware of what standing these IFA’s have with people in the real financial world,  many of whom themselves cannot be saved by Apostolic Blessings, such as the subject of our last story…eye of the needle and all that.

However it’s worth mentioning perhaps that many Thai based IFA’s claiming to have a presence in Hong Kong, which is more kosher marginally, than Thailand, in its financial dealings and policing, may not actually have a presence in Hong Kong.

Just like Bangkok based boiler rooms these IFA’s rent serviced offices and may even register companies in Hong Kong – and they certainly open bank accounts there.  But their presence is of course in Thailand where nobody but nobody at the Thai Securities Exchange Commission, to whom they should register is particular bothered enough to take any action except put out 'Investor Alerts'.

Neil Robbirt
Lindell is now targeting Bangkok based financial advisor Neil Robbirt, who had a large number of clients in the basically fraudulent LM Managed Performance Fund – which was ill managed and of course did not perform except to make mega bucks for its creator Aussie based New Zealander Peter Drake.

Robbirt claims he too was a victim of  Drake's LM Fund scam - but not so the same extent as most of his clients. One close to retirement client says he lost literally 'everything I had saved since I stared working'. Gambling that percentage of your clients's cash on one fund seems a little careless.

While of course the average Joe will go to jail for robbing the corner store of a couple of hundred dollars or whatever ; steal multi-millions in the financial world and it’s a civil case – and the victims will have to go looking for their money, which nowadays will probably be in a major international bank – the greatest protectors of fraudsters.

I have just been having an off the record chat with an executive of a major international bank during which I pointed out to him that his bank was servicing  multiple accounts of boiler rooms based in Bangkok and other parts of Thailand.

“Of course the banks do not care where the cash comes from.  My bank sets aside billions of dollars a year in the event of being caught out, which they often are, and life goes on.

" We are one of the worst."

I am not going to get that sort of quote from his press office though.

There appears to be a fading line between bank ‘traders’ and ‘boiler room’ boys.  They are both about getting out at the right time cashed up.

“Our traders are guys with Lamborghini’s and no personalities,” he said with a chuckle.

Apologies to readers for reduced activity recently. Unsettling back in the UK.

Declaration: The author of this site also lost cash invested in the LM MPF promoted by Neil Robbirt.

AMERICAN HALLUCINOGENIC DRUGS ADMINSTRATORS FACE MANSLAUGHTER CHARGES.......

.....If police who covered up Australian's death can find them

A Post Mortem on Australian Brodie Smith, who died while undergoing Ibogaine treatment to cure his methamphetamine addiction, confirms our investigation into the death of 33-year-old on the Thai holiday island of Koh Phangan.

It shows that the quack providers of the illegal programme for drug addiction on the island of lied to police – who then helped cover up the manslaughter.

And the autopsy carried out at the Police Hospital in Bangkok also especially vindicates claims by Brodie Smith’s fiancée Kara Spark that Brodie had been administered with Ibogaine, the West African root of the Iboga tree, used in tribal rituals, and had NOT shot himself up with  other drugs himself as the programme providers claimed.

Ibogaine was drug which we revealed he should never have been given in the first place, dished out by amateurs to fund their own lifestyle in 'paradise'.

The results of the post mortem have been given to Australian government officials after protests by Kara Spark, from Mandurah, West Australia, and Brodie Smith’s mother Diane Tucker from Halls Creek, Kimberley, West Australia.

Vctor Cracknell - some mistake?
The promoters of the programme were Americans Simon Picone and Victor Cracknell from Buffalo, New York, who administered the drugs in a resort on Koh Phangan – the Thai island famous for its full moon parties.

Mike Picone
They were assisted by Kelly Lyn Miller, a former stripper from Alabama, who has already been deported to the United States from Thailand to face a five year sentence for manslaughter ( a hit and run case).

Now if Picone and Cracknell can be found they too face at the minimum manslaughter charges for the reckless way in which they dished out Ibogaine – a hallucinogenic drug.

But police on both Koh Phangan and Koh Samui had ignored Kara Spark’s account of what happened on Koh Phangan given on Samui the day after she fled,  and they suppressed her detailed statement, possibly not wishing to scare off tourists or but they just did not care.

The island police had accepted a ridiculous claim by Cracknell that Brodie was a friend of his and he had found him dead when he turned up at his rented bungalow to take him on a trip of around the island.  Cracknell claimed Brodie had shot himself up with other drugs, not Ibogaine, in his bathroom. In fact Brodie had paid over AUS$3000 to Cracknell and Picone for drugs rehab treatment.

Diane Tucker
Brodie’s mother Diane Tucker today received a report from Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade which states:

“The Embassy obtained a report with the results of the re-testing for the drug "Ibogaine" from the Police Forensic Institute on 9 April 2015.
“The results of re-testing shows traces of the substance "Ibogaine".  The officer from the Forensic Institute said they will send this report to the police investigator at Koh Phangan Police station for further investigation…………….
“Consular staff contacted Pol Capt. Yuttana, the investigator handling Mr. Smith's case on 9 April 2015. Pol Capt. Yuttana advised that he was unable to speak with consular staff as he was attending a meeting with the Royal Thai Police in Bangkok at the time. He requested that a consular officer call him again on 17 April 2015.”
Cracknell and Brodie are believed to have long since departed Koh Phangan irrespective of the lack of urgency of Captain Yuttana .

Kara and Brodie
Kelly Lynn Miller, 36, was arrested on the island of Phuket, Thailand and last month deported to the United States to go to jail for five years for the manslaughter of truck driver Donald Goodwin in 2004. She had fled while on bail and changed her name to Bea.   She had a baby by Victor Cracknell.

Karen Spark copied her statement to this site and gave us a harrowing account of what happened on Koh Phangan and how she watched Brodie die in front of her after being administered with does of Ibogaine and another drug in the form of blue pills.

I have nothing to gain by making anything up.
I have trouble with accepting what happened.
I will always remember this and I will never re-cover from this.
I have lost everything, all my hopes and dreams. They are to blame,

I don't understand how people could be so horrible and cruel and to not feel guilty or remorseful makes me sick.

UNMASKED GEORGE AT THAIVISA.COM

EXPOSED THE GOAT WHO BANNED APPEAL FOR FOOD FOR HOMELESS CATS AND DOGS
George Anderssen the boss of ThaiVisa.com, the largest and most controversial English language web forum in Thailand is not really George Anderssen but a ‘cone-headed’ and somewhat dodgy visa salesman called Lars Janson (sic), it’s now being claimed.

Could George or Lars look like this?
The revelation is made on the website StickmanBangkok and may account for the reason we have found ThaiVisa linked with the same lawyers, addresses and ‘gofers’  as are Bangkok’s fraudsters doing boiler room trading – and indeed why the site carries adverts for some definitely dodgy businesses.

Stickman relates a tale how he went with a friend of his went to see Lars Janson many years ago when he was running Express Service Sabai Company, Ltd., out of a small office in Sukhumvit.
The friend successfully got a visa on his passport which had successfully taken a trip to Malaysian by itself and carried on doing so.

Janson at some time went out of business and mentioned are a smashed window and blood on the street.

There was talk of George being a scapegoat and being set up by other people and fleeing to Malaysia to start up something like EThailand. But no evidence George or Lars was prosecuted for anything.
Stickman gives some accounts of the secretive George or Lars:

‘(He’s) a bit of a character who eschews the ways of his homeland. His appearance is sloppy; he is often unshaven and usually has an unkempt look.
The other neighbour reports that ‘George’ has alcoholic tendencies and is quick to anger.
That neighbour attributes the police callouts to his house and fights (usually vocal, at least once physical) with his on again / off again wife as most likely due to alcohol.
Once the sun is high in the sky, he says a glass of beer or wine is usually within George's reach.’
Well that exactly does not narrow down the list of suspects in Hua Hin where George and/or Lars lives.

Stickman also says he has a photo of Lars/George which he won’t publish. Maybe that’s because George had a picture of him.  Whatever it does seem in Thailand people are becoming more and more aware of where they are walking and I’m guessing the story will go on hold.

Stickman goes on about the ‘moderators’ on ThaiVisa.com some of whom have obviously been given power for the first time in their lives and don’t actually know how to use it.

He recounts the hilarious tale about how ThaiVisa banned a poster who made an appeal on behalf of the Santisook Dog and Cat Rescue Shelter for dog and cat food to feed strays.  I guess Santisook was not advertising with ThaiVisa like ‘Pattaya Lawyer’ Drew Noyes or their famous in house bent lawyer.

George Anderssen his however starring under this name in an action being taken against him for fraud in Hua Hin relating to ThaiVisa Property Co.
